For years, Ian relied on his mother, Lucy, and grandmother to get him from place to place, limiting his ability to move and explore the world around him. Lucy, overwhelmed by the demands of caring, often felt torn between Ian's needs and those of her other son. But all that changed when Ian was given a wheelchair, thanks to generous donors like you. Ian can now go to school, church and play with his friends. Ian's story illustrates the impact of our partnership and our Move for Mobility initiative. This week we'd like to share the story of Felix and Melody, who have been together for an incredible 61 years. Four years ago, Felix suffered a stroke that left him completely unable to move. Despite the difficulties, Melody has been by his side, providing unwavering care and support. Recently Free Wheelchair Mission visited their home and gave Felix the gift of mobility - a wheelchair. Melody can now easily push him around the house and take him outside, to meet neighbours and enjoy the outdoors. Through our partnership with Free Wheelchair Mission, we are helping to transform the lives of Felix and Melody. We have 80 million people in the world who still need wheelchairs. HONEST REVIEW on the Alber GmbH E-Fix My fionce was screaming with joy this month when her family came over from the UK 💂♂️. Of course, we had to take Uncle Matty out to the zoo because he is obsessed with Koalas 🐨. Matty can walk using a walking aid but long distances he needs a different bit of Assistive Tech. A day at the zoo honestly would have been impossible without a wheelchair and I was glad I had the option to loan one with a power assist. This was my first time using this product as a carer for more than 5 minutes.
